Raise Page Rank Prediction

By

I was a bit surprised by my tweeting friends on Twitter today.

Here is the tweet I sent out:
I will swap links from my PR3 site to help raise your page rank.

My @BodyByChocolate friends were happy to swap though a common question kept coming back.

What is a PR3 site?

Wow! Doesn’t anyone focus on page rank prediction anymore or am I being overly nerdy to think this a strange question to receive. Yeah, I know, according to the Kim Komando show today using “geek” and “nerd” is officially taboo but that is a topic for another article lets talk about page ranking.

PR is the abbreviation for Page Rank. It is Googles way of ranking Websites as it relates to the level of Google love they deserve.

The PR scale is from 0 – 10 with 10 being Google itself. Finding yourself higher and higher in this measurement is nothing but good as long as it is the niche you were expecting to target.

Having a PR3 Website is certainly nothing to write home about, or even Email for that matter. But it is a definite step in the right direction.

How do you change the level of love that Google bestows on your page ranking efforts?

  • Good ole fashion on page SEO is where to start.
    - How many times is the keyword used
    - Where is it used
    - Actual page titles
    - The basics
  • Then it is time to move onto off page options
    - Swapping links
    - Article marketing
    - Social networking

The more you do to show that you are really trying to appeal to the search engines while keeping the content real for human readers the higher your ratings will go. There are certain things you want to avoid in the process. Black hat methods that could get you banned altogether from Google is probably one of the biggest ones.

There are certainly other ways to build traffic to your Website today.

  • Social networking
  • Other search engines
  • Word of mouth

However, generally speaking Google page rank prediction is a very powerful way of understanding how you are doing within the entire Internet. Thus, as you raise page rank with Google your traffic from other sources will also likely grow. Which leaves me with only one final thought, knowing what your page rank (PR) is should be second nature to people that own Websites, Blogs or what have you.
