I support most of the concepts brought out in the definitions about. As it relates to professional blogs I believe that more of a focus on the concept of niching would be in-order.
When you niche a blog you still journal about various things that you want to discuss, but you also keep those journal entries focused to a particular topic.
· If your subject is flowers keep your journal entries to gardening.
· If your subject is cars keep your journal entries to automotive.
· If like me, your subject is healthy chocolate keep your journal entries to health
If you choose to niche things even further you can, but my point here is to relate your journal entries to your niche or focused topic.
Reason?
Google and other search engines rank your blog in their directories. The more niched they find your content the higher your resulting placements on the Web will be.
